The Tenda O3 5 km Outdoor Point-to-Point CPE is a purpose-built wireless networking device designed to establish reliable long-distance links (up to ~5 kilometers in good line-of-sight conditions) for applications such as video surveillance, bridging networks between buildings, or WISP CPE setups; it operates in the 2.4 GHz band under IEEE 802.11b/g/n, supports up to 150 Mbps real wireless throughput, and includes a built-in 12 dBi directional dual-polarized antenna (beamwidth ~60° horizontal / ~30° vertical) to focus the signal and increase range. The unit is ruggedized for outdoor use—enclosed in a housing rated IP64, with 6,000 V lightning protection—and is powered via PoE (12 V / 1 A) which allows flexible installation (up to ~60 meters of Ethernet cable) without needing a nearby power outlet. It features one FE PoE/WAN/LAN port plus one additional FE LAN port, configurable operating modes (Access Point, Station, WISP etc.), adjustable transmit power (up to ~800 mW / 29 dBm), standard wireless security (WEP/WPA/WPA2), and tools like signal-scan, remote web management, reset button, and suitable for –20 °C to ~+55 °C operation. All these make the Tenda O3 a cost-effective outdoor CPE solution when you need to bridge areas where running cable is difficult or expensive, though the trade-offs are lower maximum data rates compared to modern 5 GHz or newer WiFi-ac/ax standards.
